Meet Tom Zreika
I am Tom Zreika, Solicitor and Managing Partner at Sterling Legal. Over the course of my career, I have developed a reputation for bringing strength, strategy, and clarity to complex legal disputes.
My work spans family law, criminal law, commercial litigation, insolvency, and corporate advisory matters. I approach every case with the same guiding principle: clients deserve solutions that are legally sound, commercially practical, and strategically effective.
Professional Journey
My professional journey began with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney, followed by a Bachelor of Laws from Western Sydney University. From the outset, I was drawn to matters that required a combination of legal expertise, commercial insight, and tactical precision.
After completing my Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law, I was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and subsequently of the High Court of Australia.
In 2013, I undertook the Master of Law and Management at UNSW, a program designed to integrate legal knowledge with an MBA styled leadership and strategic management degree. That study gave me the tools to lead complex litigation while steering the operational growth of Sterling Legal.
In 2018, I expanded my skills internationally, completing the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, an experience that deepened my ability to achieve constructive, results-driven outcomes even in the most high-conflict matters.
In 2020, I was honoured to be awarded the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) in recognition of my services to the law, community, and local government. This recognition reflects my commitment not only to legal practice but to strengthening the communities in which I live and work.
Areas of Practice
As Managing Partner, I lead Sterling Legal across multiple disciplines, but my core areas of practice include:
- Family Law: high-value property settlements, financial non-disclosure disputes, parenting matters, and asset protection strategies.
- Criminal Law: defending clients in serious criminal matters, including sexual assaults, fraud, drug offences, and complex white-collar prosecutions.
- Commercial Litigation: shareholder disputes, contractual disputes, and complex civil litigation proceedings.
- Insolvency and Corporate Advisory: Deeds of Company Arrangement (DOCAs), PPSR securities, restructuring, and creditor negotiations.
- Strategic Negotiation: high stakes matters requiring tact, foresight, and the ability to balance strength with pragmatism.
Approach to Practice
I believe the law should provide clarity, not confusion, and security, not fear.
My role is to cut through complexity, giving clients a clear strategy that empowers them to make informed decisions.
I do not believe in over-promising. Instead, I provide transparent, realistic advice from the outset, then deliver strong and focused advocacy to achieve the best possible outcome.

My OAM reflects not only professional practice but also decades of service in government, community organisations, and philanthropic initiatives. I am committed to ensuring that the law and community leadership go hand in hand, and I continue to support projects that foster resilience, education, and social cohesion.
